Members of the African and UK Reproducibility Networks meet next month in an event organised by the University of  Liverpool ReproducibiliTea club. It will be held on Friday 11 July and is sponsored by the Institute of Population Health research culture fund. The event is free to attend, but please register here. A Teams link will be provided for those wishing to join online.

This hybrid event brings together representatives from the African and UK Reproducibility Networks and ReproducibiliTea to share best research practices, and discuss how we can learn from each other to address common challenges within research culture. There will be a series of presentations and panel discussions followed by an evening reception.

‘The African Reproducibility Network has grown rapidly and we now have 28 Local Network Leads across 16 countries, representing a wide range of research disciplines.  This event is a great opportunity for UK and Africa-based Local Network Leads to meet and explore the common challenges we face in promoting and embedding best research practices within our research institutions.’  Emmanuel Boakye, Founder of the African Reproducibility Network

‘We’re delighted to welcome researchers from the African Reproducibility Network to share their experience and knowledge across many different aspects of research culture. This event creates space for joint understanding and for new partnerships and initiatives to emerge. The Liverpool Institute of Population Health places a strong emphasis on research culture and we’re grateful for their support for this event.’  Professor Bill Greenhalf, UKRN Institutional Lead, University of Liverpool

I’m looking forward to engaging with an international audience and talking about why ignoring psychometrics is likely to be reducing reproducibility.’ Professor Paul Christiansen, Applied Statistician, University of Liverpool who has pioneered accessible statistics teaching, with over a million views on his you tube channel.
