Following from our successful offer of this course in 2019, we are again offering the 2-day residential course at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor, 15 July to 16 July 2020.
The workshop aims to introduce researchers at all career stages to the fundamental principles of leadership and leadership skills in an academic context, through a combination of lectures, practical activities, and small-group discussion on key topics.
There are 24 places available on the course.
There is a registration fee of £250, which includes accommodation and meals at Cumberland Lodge. A limited number of family rooms for those with childcare responsibilities may be available. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer travel bursaries.
The programme can be found here: Draft Programme – Introduction to Leadership in Academia April 2020 (PDF, 101kB)

“Through active leadership exercises and opportunities for self-reflection combined with discussion and lectures on existing theories of leadership, this workshop was both well-rounded and thorough, my only complaint being that we couldn’t stay longer.” – Kirsten Westmoreland, October 2019
“It helped me to step away from my day to day work and see myself and my leadership role in a broader context.” – Lucy Wright, October 2019
