On 26 January UKRN hosted a discussion among four Scottish UKRN members (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde), plus the English institution Keele University and the Scottish Funding Council. This was an opportunity for those involved to reflect on work in Scotland to promote a positive research culture. We are grateful to the University of Glasgow for hosting the meeting. The meeting chair, Neil Jacobs, offers his personal reflections of that discussion and links to presentations from many of those involved. The latter offer a useful summary of the research culture work going on at those institutions.
