The Supervisory Board is responsible for the overall coordination of UKRN activity and strategyOrganisation and membership
The Supervisory Board reports to the Local Network Leads and Institutional Leads, and to the Stakeholder Engagement Group, by means of an annual report (in July) and meeting (in March). Supervisory Board representatives are elected from their member group, as outlined in the the UKRN Terms of Reference.

Etienne Roesch (Chair)
Reading
Etienne Roesch is Professor of Applied Statistics & Cognitive Science at the University of Reading, and Deputy Director of the Centre for Integrative Neuroscience & Neurodynamics. He is interested in the development of statistical methods for reproducibility, and improving the training of scientists in reproducible research practices.

Eike Mark Rinke (LNL Representative)
Leeds
Eike Mark Rinke joined the University of Leeds as a Lecturer in Politics and Media in 2019 following postdoctoral work in the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). He has studied at the University of Mannheim, George Washington University, and the University of Erfurt, and was a visiting researcher and instructor at the University of Washington and the İzmir University of Economics.

Sofia Fernandes (LNL Representative)
Warwick
Sofia Fernandes is the Associate Director and Head of Research and Academic Services at the University of Warwick Library. With a strong background of open research and academic libraries, Sofia’s interests also include FAIR data, research data management, research culture, responsible metrics and research assessment.

Harvinder Virk (Stakeholder Representative)
Leicester
Harvinder Virk is a NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Respiratory Medicine at the University of Leicester, Leicester.

Marcus Munafò (Executive Director)
Bath
Marcus Munafò is Deputy Vice Chancellor and Provost at the University of Bath. He has a long-standing interest in meta-research, and the organisational factors, incentive structures and working practices that shape researcher behaviour and research quality.

Neil Jacobs (Associate Director)
Bristol
Neil Jacobs is Associate Director of the UKRN Executive and head of the Open Research Programme. He has a background in research policy and infrastructure having had leadership positions in UKRI, Jisc and a central Government department.
