Tom Stafford is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology and Research Improvement Lead at the University of Sheffield. Much of his research looks at risk and bias, and their management, in decision making. He is also interested in skill learning, using measures of behaviour informed by work done in computational theory, robotics and neuroscience. More recently a strand of his research looks at complex decisions, and the psychology of reason, argument and persuasion. You can learn more about Tom’s background and research interests here and here.
Tom’s main areas of interest for presenting are reproducibility, reliability and meta-science.
