Simon Kolstoe

Simon Kolstoe is a Reader in Bioethics at the University of Portsmouth and also has responsibility over Portsmouth’s research ethics and governance processes. His research background includes biochemistry, evidence based healthcare, and ‘research on research’ such as how governance, integrity and ethics processes can be refined in order to promote better research. Simon has extensive experience providing advice and training on ethics and research integrity. He is chair of research ethics committees for the National Health Service, Ministry of Defence and Public Health England, has recently contributed to national HRA, UKRIO and ARMA training events, and is an author for the online Epigeum research integrity training course.
